Next up the Pack Course. Llamas are often used as pack animals in South America and can carry up to a quarter of their body weight.

Addie breezes through the obstacle course, traversing the teeter totter, hoop and over the hay bales like a champ. Addie is totally relaxed and judge Mershon notes the huge improvement from their first year of competition.

Next up is the Obstacle Course of the competition which showcases llamas agility and sure-footedness. Mike Kelso helps set up the obstacle course.

Judge Mershon comments that Llamas and humans can communicate quite well. She recommends petting a llama if you get the chance, as they’re very soft and gentle.

First up: Public Relations! Llamas are great guard and therapy animals. Addie comes through the curtain without a hitch, then stops to get her photo taken! Judge Mershon comments that Devin & Addie made the Public Relations course look easy.
