When I was #ChiefofStaff at AT&T, the 30-minute update was expected. Now, as an executive coach, I see it as one of the most career-defining skills for senior leaders. If you can brief your principal well, you will build trust and credibility and move the #business forward.

My latest newsletter offers a sharp diagnostic for senior leaders whose systems haven’t caught up with their vision. It includes an “OS Audit” to help spot hidden friction, realign leadership architecture, and unlock new momentum. Read it here:

Eventually, it started to feel like a polished form of procrastination. Here’s what changed that for me:.1. 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀.2. 𝗔 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅.3. 𝗔 ‘𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’ 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 - 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀. I used to power through a book, finish it, and immediately move on to the next. It felt productive until I realized I was just stockpiling ideas with no real impact.

High performers love to ask, “What’s next?” But the real leadership power is in asking, “What’s here?” You don’t need to chase the future to lead it; you need to be present enough to catch what’s unfolding now. So… what’s here that you’ve been too busy to notice?. #Presence

Procrastination doesn’t always look like slacking. Sometimes it's over-preparing, over-researching, and overthinking. It’s #Productivity in disguise. #Leadership means moving forward, not perfectly, but progressively. What’s one small step that could get you unstuck today?

The most impactful leaders don’t just bring expertise into the room, they bring attunement. Because not every room needs strategy. Sometimes it needs stillness or asking the right questions. #Leadership

I don’t take for granted what it means to walk beside #leaders who are bold enough to evolve, brave enough to question, and grounded enough to stay in the work. When you're surrounded by people who push the limits of what's possible… You can't help but level up!

It was an honor to travel to the Northeast to work with one of my incredible clients and spend time with their full #leadership team. A special highlight was connecting with Anastasia Bergman and spending time with the brilliant Wendy Gates Corbett. #ExecutiveCoaching @WGCorbett

Sometimes, you just have to check out. Not because you're lazy or disengaged. But because staying checked in all the time is unsustainable. Where could you step away so you can show up with more clarity?

You can’t lead change if you’re not willing to change. It’s one of the hardest truths I’ve learned in leadership. And one of the easiest to overlook. #change

In this week’s newsletter, I share a 10-minute audit that helped one CEO client cut decision lag by 40% and revive a stalled $50M launch. #leadership #decisionmaking #support

Eighteen years ago, I stepped into the most rewarding role of my life: Chief Growth Officer for two tiny new humans. Fast forward to this past weekend: caps flying, tassels flipping, and two remarkable young adults walking across that #graduation stage. I’m filled with pride.

If you’re not #delegating, you’re not truly leading—you're simply doing more. Great leaders create other great leaders. When we fail to delegate, we rob our team members of the opportunity to grow by taking on new challenges and becoming the leaders they are capable of being.

I recently spent a day at the Modern Elder Academy, a retreat space that redefines our perspective on aging, #wisdom, and growth. One small detail left a big impression on me: the way they organized their bookshelves. They were grouped by profound, thought-provoking questions.

When you move too fast, you risk missing opportunities. And you risk missing people. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀. #connection.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. The most pivotal moments in my career didn’t happen in boardrooms. They happened in hallway chats. In questions I dared to ask. In active listening. #Leadership
