I like tweeting this every so often because I think it’s important we remember this really happened. Kids were stumbling out of Hemingway’s directly into the LRAD. Terrified freshman tried to run back to towers only to find the lobby doors locked.

Fascinating podcast on the LRAD. Will never forget when it was deployed against students in the attack by the police on the University of Pittsburgh which I witnessed in 2009. They fired this at the door of Hemingways!!

As a manager, I try to get as close to this as a I can, especially in the pandemic.
Ask yourself: Could this meeting be a zoom? Could this zoom be a phone call? Could this phone call be an email? Could this email be a text? Could this text be unsent? Could we in silence retreat to the forest? Could we, by game trails & forgotten paths, vanish into the trees?
