Just finished rewatching the 2007 Transformers movie and if you cut out like 80% of the overall dialog the movie would improve a great amount. That along with cutting pretty much all the supporting characters time.

The feds show up, and try to guilt you into helping some dumb settlers who are stuck in the mountains in winter, the only answer is no. That's a big lesson from "Jeremiah Johnson".

Going into comic book store often feels like going to a wake.

While inking a page where a demon is trying to choke someone out the Susumu Hirasawa score for BERSERK(1997) popped into my head so I had to put it on. Seemed very fitting. Also if you've never seen the 1997 Berserk series, do so, and read the manga too.

I rewatched Lady in White for the first time in a while, and that movie is still so very heavy, and tonally all over the place. It gets the Halloween/Fall tone so well, it's very funny at times(grandfather trying to sneak in some smoking) and very disturbing(child murder).

Gotta love physical media. Sure the Max Payne games digitally, but if you can't hold it, you don't own it. Also picked up the best Avengers movie(seriously it's better than the MCU offerings), as well as the Flashpoint movie(better than the comics it.s based on) and BayFormers.

An outlet recently did an interview with GOG execs and the below quote is pretty funny considering the whole "Remakes don't replace the original, you can always just play that instead" argument

Rewatching "Sphere" and other than it reminding me of a missing episode of Stargate SG-1, I figured something out about the whole "black hole/time travel", that it wasn't a accident, that someone on the ship made it happen through the manifestation power of the Sphere.

Apparently there was a Prince Valiant movie released in 1997 from Anthony Hickox, the director of Waxwork, and Hellraiser III that starred Stephen Moyer(from True Blood).

As far as I'm concerned there's only two Return of the Living Dead movies, the first, and the third. Which is a twisted Romeo and Juliet style story, with sick effects work.

Figured I'd finally watch Return of the Living Dead Part II, and wow, what a mistake I made. The tone is more in line with Creepshow 2, all the bad comedy, having James Karen and Thom Matthews back as too similar characters doing the same lines in spots. It's just so awful.

Finally got around to playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and while there are moments that feel very much like they'd fit with Indiana Jones it's not a good game. Reminds me of those Assassin's Creed discovery tour mode with mediocre stealth and mild combat elements.

Cover designs by Matt! Here's the ROBOTECH VISUAL ARCHIVE art book series. I was going for something a bit like an old Haynes repair manual feel with these.

It's not a "easter egg" if it's smacking you right in the face in a work. Being a "easter egg" implies a hunt for it.

The Spawn animated series that was broadcast on HBO still holds up in not just looks, but story, and characters too. Even if Todd's Walt Disney-like intros are tonally odd.
