also, he's a scientist. he's been deeply researching laquium for a long time. he's not simply going "pink rock makes pokemon punch hard" like a fool. there's an effect of laquium he wants to maximize on that he deems worth the drawbacks.

spinel re:the risks of laquium a line that is worth revisiting and considering. he's not unaware that strong spheres have potential negative effects.

inb4 "how dare you call someone neurodivergent for being evil you ableist peice of shit" 1) you don't know him like i do 2) bad people can still be neuroatypical

there's something so beautiful and quite possibly neurodivergent about how spinel views bonds with others and it shows in how he created a device that "damages" bonds between people and pokemon all while having one of the strongest trainer-pokemon relationships in the whole show.

i just hope that those who decide to get to know me do acknowledge spinel as an actual partner of mine, no matter what labels or terminology i attach to myself or our relationship.

even though my love for spinel is definitely serious.. i sometimes shy away from identifying with the "riako" term because i'm afraid i may be misusing it or not allowed to use it? and i don't really know why i have that feeling. thoughts from others? anyone else feel like this?
