All, the National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert. A storm system will bring a period of very strong winds to the region, with the potential for wind gusts up to 60 mph. HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

Boyd Blvd. will be closed from E. Jefferson to E. Lincolnway (State Road 2) from Nov. 20th to Nov. 23rd 2019 for repaving. If temps. are to cold this could be extended to Nov. 25th. There will be some signage for detours but please plan and find alternate routes.

Would like to thank Reserve Officer Jon bello for 23 years of volunteer service with the department. He is the only reserve authorized for solo patrol and is always quick to help the department.

Reminder that the 4th of July parade is here again and please remember the roadway and parking restrictions on Lincolnway during the event. There will be no parking on Lincolnway on the 4th.

Would like to let the public know that Stone Lake Beach will be closed on July 3rd. for the Red Wine And Brew Event. The roadway through the beach area will be closed for the event as well. There will also be increased traffic in area during the event.

The LaPorte Police enjoyed their Cops and Bobbers event on May 11th. 11 kids teamed up with officers to learn how to fish. A little chilly but a great event.

Center Township Trustee Office will be open 24 hrs a day for Tuesday and Wednesday as a warming shelter. There will be cots, food, and drinks for people in need.
