Doctors intimidated when speaking out about horrendous working conditions, nurses not paid. You're really failing at management @GautengHealth. Step in @David_Makhura. Lives are at stake.
The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (Denosa) has threatened to take action against the Gauteng government for not paying and retaining young nurses who have completed their mandatory community service for three months.

#SocialCohesion is not a R22mil flag. It's standing in solidarity with Healthcare workers who save lives. #SocialCohesion is not about politicians' loathsome self-importance, it's the work SA'ans do to hold it together despite beurocratic incompetence.
Doctors at Rahima Moosa Hospital unite , wearing black to protest the suspension of Dr Tim De Maayer for speaking out about injustices and deteriorating services at the facility. He is not allowed on the premises while sick children desperately need care. @GautengHealth

Justice was done, but let this not obscure the fact that the issues raised in @TimDeMaayer’s letter are still at large and need to be addressed. Clinicians across Gauteng continue to hold the line but suffer moral injury on a daily basis. We are exhausted, burnt out, and angry.

Deeply concerning response to a doctor upholding patients' rights to care. Is a doctor not expected to be an advocate of the poor and marginalized. @UCTHealthSci
Remember this desperate call for help to save life’s of children. Upholding the Hippocratic Oath and living by a code of ethics sadly lacking in Gvt. In return Dr Tim de Maayer has been suspended by GDoH for speaking out for the benefit of the vulnerable.! @WitsHealthFac
