#LACA2024 and satellite events are over ๐ฅฒ.It was a privilege for the Uruguayan crew to host a very distinguished and enthusiastic group of colleagues/friends from nearby and far away. We wish all safe travels and we hope to see everyone again in Fortaleza Brazil for #LACA_VII.
Three days of School and four days of Meeting were not enough for #LACA2024. Today it was Workshops sponsored by @icddicdd, @ccdc_cambridge and @ccp4_mx for participants and tutors coming from ๐บ๐พ๐ง๐ท๐ฆ๐ท๐จ๐ท๐ช๐จ๐จ๐ด๐ป๐ช๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐บ๐ธ๐ฎ๐น. Workshops were held at @FqUdelar and @IPMontevideo.

The last night of #LACA2024 in #Montevideo instead of being sad is a party. Traditional uruguayan dancing and singing at "El Milongรณn" with participants enjoying uruguayan wine and the show.
Closing Keynote talks of Day 3 of #LACA2024 show no decrease in intensity from the morning ones (a #neutron scattering type day). Florencia Di Salvo ๐ฆ๐ท and Peter Spackman ๐ฆ๐บ showed results on cryst.eng. with biomolecules and prediction of cryst. growth from solution, respectively

A fun fact was given. The 128 participants from 20 different countries accumulated almost half a million km round trip from and to their institutions, or enough km to turn 12,4 times around earth.

@icddicdd prize was also awarded by Miguel Delgado and @leopoldosuescun, and CCDC @ccdc_cambridge Prizes given away by @EllenaAlcides and @natiafailache . Congrats to the winners!.

#LACA2024 had it's closing Ceremony and is virtually over, except for the 3 parallel workshops running tomorrow. @natiafailache Chair of the meeting announced @IUCr and @PDBeurope Prizes give away by Prof. Santiago Garcรญa Granda, Graciela Dรญaz de Delgado & Alejandro Buschiazzo.
Day 4 (last but not least) of #LACA2024 starts with some deep voices produced by the dinner party of the third night, but scientifically busy with two keynotes by Profs. Nikolai Gerasimchuk from ๐บ๐ธ and Javier Ellena from ๐ง๐ท. A great day for great Science!
