Mark my words: if Jacob Frey wins, MPD will do crowd control for ICE. The Frey bros will continue to gaslight you when that happens. If Frey wins, we have capitulated to the Feds. Not that Frey is on their side, but that he is too much of a coward to do what it takes.

Just to bump this: When ICE showed up in StP, Melvin Carter came out. SPPD didn’t intervene. Do I say I have low expectations for Frey? Yes. He has already shown us what he will do.

@MW_Midwit Frey didn’t direct MPD to not do crowd control for ICE (he said he did). He had MPD re organize the command approval for deploying crowd control. If you recall, that fucker also banned no knock warrants. Once before an election, then again when someone was killed.

@labor_nerd I don't know if you remember, but IIRC the after action review showed that the Minneapolis Police did not violate the (current) separation ordinance. Now, I know it's being rewritten, I just don't know what you're all about. I'm guessing we've had this conversation before too.

@surveyguy2 I do remember, and the review also noted that the separation ordinance needed to be clarified, because the language was too vague. If we don’t want to aid ICE, we need to go all the way.
