Imagine you recharge your phone with ₦1000 airtime. But instead of ₦1000, you get ₦999.50. You think: “Ah, maybe network wahala.”.Now imagine this happening to 10 million people across the country. That’s ₦5,000,000 quietly missing — into the attacker’s pocket.

How to Spot a Phishing Scam:. -Unexpected Requests : Your “friend” suddenly asks for a ridiculous amount of money? .Don't be the generous guy. Call them directly to confirm first.

-Reputational Damage : If they steal your identity, they’re not protecting your good name. They’ll use it to scam others — and guess who gets blamed? .Your reputation of you-know-the years just go down the drain — whoosh.

-Financial Losses : Once they’re in, they’re not browsing, checking where a credit alert came from and then go out again — they’re _draining your account_. Your money? Gone in seconds.

What Happens If You Fall for It?. - Identity Theft : You get an email saying “Update your account in 1 hour or it’ll be deleted!” .Then what? You panic. Click the link. Type in your credentials. And now the attacker has your login info — and your account is compromised.
