If it is the cost of the box divided by all the cards in the box, do the non-sellable cards become a current year expense at that point? (inventory write off) This might be in @ForemanTaxLaw 's area, I know he did or has coming up a class on collectables. Thanks in advance! 3/3

When the shop opens the box of cards (from their inventory), what is the inventory value of the 6-8 cards they can resell? Is it the cost of the box divided by the # of cards, or is it the cost of the box divided by the total cards in the box? (2/x)

Have an inventory question for #TaxTwitter that should be a fun one! Trading card shop, they buy and sell trading cards, with the occasional box of cards opening to hunt for rare cards. When the shop opens one of their boxes, there are generally 6-8 cards that are of value. 1/x

Got the email about Tax 24 coming this weekend. Included was an offer for training on it. Can the Tax Softwares move away from charging you to learn their software that they are already charging 5 figures for a year to use? No such thing for other programs I use. #taxtwitter

October deadline @Wolters_Kluwer rant. Stopped using Axcess Practice 2 renewal seasons ago, but kept getting notifications for time not being entered. Went through my rep to get it to stop, Support said they had to grant a 1 time licenses for me to turn off notifications… 🧵

Currently stuck in Uninstall/Install hell from CCH instead of working on 10/15 work. Already 45 minutes in. For all the software providers that work with #taxtwitter, do not be like CCH. Please have more awareness to your client’s situation and circumstances. End rant.

Seemed weird they couldn’t turn it off on their end, but whatever. Fast forward to today, I get the email granting the licenses, I go to login to Axcess and get the Install Update Manger notification stating I need to uninstall all CCH products and reinstall due to changes…
