We got lucky that feedforward NNs carried us this far. AGI needs recursion and Schmidhuber probably invented it already. No effective algos or hardware to train this, so no AGI until 2035. We'll have narrow superintelligence in math before though.

Prediction: no AGI for at least 5 years. Sutton and Silver are correct: the next step is learning from experience and the research program is barely formulated yet. It will take time to bear fruit.
