A confession: I do not recall the date when 100,000 had died I had to look it up to remember when 200,000 had died I did not mark it on my calendar when 300,000 had died I am unsure if it was last month when 400,000 had died I fear I shall forget yesterday when 500,000 had died.

Today is a good day. It’s easier to be a parent this morning. Character MATTERS. Being a good person MATTERS. This is a big deal. It’s easy to do it the cheap way and get away with stuff — but it comes back around. Today is a good day. #PresidentBiden

America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.

16 years of sobriety today, thanks to the wisdom and support of my sober siblings & the mysteries of how God’s love and grace operates in our lives. Hasn’t felt like 16 years - more like 5,845 days of making the daily choice to be alcohol-free. #grateful #onedayatatime

... or did I merely turn to black women for quotes on liberation theology, racial justice or beloved community instead of the the full spectrum their theological oeuvre, witness and experience. Guilty as charged.
“do you ever really read the work of black women? ...or did you merely finger through them for quotations which you thought might valuably support an already conceived idea concerning some old & distorted connection between us?” —Audre Lorde to Mary Daly

jamisonfoser: Never seen a primary in which so many people psych themselves out of supporting the candidate they prefer. It’s a deeply depressing symptom of the cultural disease that causes people to try to be pundits instead of advocates for their own interests & preferences.
