Amen @RichieFife. I have been bursting with pride. We won the race, got the right person - the smartest, most principled and courageous person - in the seat. JUSTICE WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOR. ⚖️ And then there is the fact that he is a Harlem boy and a friend of 30+ years! 👏🏾✊🏾.
Starting with a few of us, proud to have helped build @ManhattanDA @AlvinBraggNYC campaign, and privileged to work with a courageous, smart public servant who does the right thing, the right way, and for the right reasons.

Ditto EVERYTHING @TerriGerstein said! And ask yourself, “why didn’t he do this to Vance, who oversaw the investigation for years? Why Alvin, two months in? Why did he follow his profession’s norms & standards for Vance but not for Bragg? Hmm? I wonder what the difference was.”.
Mark Pomerantz quit @ManhattanDA office in a huff over the Trump case. Now he’s on a book/TV tour, carping about his former boss. (Also my former boss. More on that later). Pomerantz may think he's the smartest guy in the room but his judgment is👎 (1/x)

Literally the oldest trick in the book (in America). Goes back to the founding of the country. Without fear of the boogeyman, people might realize they they are poor, disenfranchised, and systematically disadvantaged. So we have to have a boogeyman.
Great news everyone, "America's Crime Crisis" (trademark Fox News) is over!. All it took was Election Day eliminating the perceived political benefit of talking about crime all the time, go figure.

And he plans to fire the DA that he doesn’t like, which is a power he would NOT have if he were to, God forbid, be elected. He cannot - nor can Hochul- fire a duly elected official. Stop lying to the voters!.
Just so I understand: Lee Zeldin’s campaign platform is that he will fire DAs who allow defendants to be released without bail…unless the DA is a Republican who supports his campaign? Ok got it.

This is beyond humbling. I am proud to be of service and to have been the recipient of so many of #percysutton ‘s life lessons. Now, I get to live by those life lessons. Thank you to @MBPMarkLevine for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Deputy Borough President!.
This #BlackHistoryMonth our Deputy Manhattan BP @ksuttonjames reflects on her grandfather Percy Sutton’s legacy as the third African-American to serve as Manhattan Borough President and how he leveraged his access to help what he called “the injured of society.”
