The first external plugin available is the go plugin which is a simple tinygo wasm compilation. It can also be tried out independently: Simply install the plugin with: `wasmrun plugin install wasmgo`.✨.Then check the plugins installed at: `wasmrun plugin

"wasmrun" aligns with the goal and dev tooling structure more closely. We also, have started working on the plugins architecture which is also live with this version release v0.10.2 🎉. Install now using: `cargo install wasmrun`.⚡️.Try it out:.

Hey all 👋. After lot of considerations, and discussions, decided to change the name of the project for the wasm runtime from Chakra to wasmrun 🚀. The decision was basically made from a name clash with some other projects closely associating with the earlier name also to build

2 open questions thinking about currently :. 1. Should there be a more forum like place to discuss WASM and Chakra's dev and future aspects. 2. Should the name be altered to something else?.(I personally liked Chakra name, but it seems there's quite a few similar named.

Next up is working on external plugins and creating a registry ✨ .Trying to not create too many central dependencies in the process, however for now, seems like a challenge. Will revisit simplying later. Keep up with the project here: 🌀

We've also now python 🐍 available using py2wasm thanks to @fhackdroid's work. 🚀 . It comes with some restrictions at the moment but it's the best we got so far. You can read more about it soon in detail. For now, feel free to try it out :

As chakra grows, it's also getting quite heavy. To resolve this, changing the architecture to more modular, plug-in based architecture. 📦 Released in the latest v0.9.6 🚀. All compiler modules are converted to built-in plugins, which soon will be extracted out in next version.
