Had a great time presenting South Texas VA cardiac arrest outcomes at #ATS2023. Shout-out to the support of my wonderful mentors, Dr. Jay Peters and Dr. Diego Maselli.

There is definitely a statistically significant relationship between how nice I’m dressing and how much coffee I spill on myself.

(5/5) But thank you, Palliative Care Attending, for showing us forever learners what compassionate care looks like, both to our patients and providers. And thank you for being a light for an intern working through what was her first patient death. I will always remember this ♥️.

(4/5) Our Palliative Care team has been SUCH a blessing (even more so than usual, if that’s even possible. ) for communicating with patients’ families when these families can’t be present for crucial care discussions in a devastating pandemic. .

(3/5) They acknowledged the emotional weight of the case, checked in on the headspace of the team members, and recognized the strength of our Pulm/CC attending both in clinical judgement and their empathetic dynamic with the family in such a emotionally challenging environment. .
