Ss got to start their day learning from @ncartmuseum! We participated in a choose your own adventure for narrative writing. Ss practiced using vivid vocabulary and figurative language to enhance writing. I cannot wait to see them apply these skills into their narrative drafts!

First field day in the books! We had a wonderful morning and the kiddos had a blast! My teacher heart was so happy watching them laugh and work together. ❤️ The fan fav was the dunk booth. @MrMoore_SSW was such a good sport! Thank you @GigiSammons for a fabulous field day!

Today we explored clouds! We started with some hands-on, 3D notes as we learned the shapes and latin roots. Then students analyzed a "cloud in a jar" and completed a Google Form with a feedback loop to show mastery. What a FULL day for these future scientists! @oakgrovees

Exploring mixed numbers and improper fractions today with a #3acttask about protein shakes and some vertical learning! Ss worked together to identify new strategies to show their work and identify misconceptions. My favorite part was hearing their math talk during the debrief!

Day 1 of our new unit, students are using games to build a deeper understanding of fractions! We tested out two games from the #2022MathSummit to review equivalent fractions. Look at this engagement! I loved seeing an initial "ugh" turn into excitement! Fractions can be fun✔️
