Sometimes we need to the darkness tin order to see the light. If we are going to see things from a different angle, we might have to stand somewhere that’s not comfortable. If we’re going to grow, we need to challenge ourselves & that requires bravery & determination.

We should all have people in our lives we can trust enough to share our deepest wounds but some of us never do bc we learned early the ones we should trust are the ones who betray us. We feel safer trusting no one but we also never fully understand how much of life’s joys we miss

We tend to hide how we’re really feeling bc we’ve been taught no one wants to hear about our problems. We don’t want to be a burden or a downer so we smile & say we’re good when we aren’t but that’s not good. It’s okay not to be okay. Real friends will always listen to you.

I think we need another reminder: if you really want to have an impact on the people & the world around you, be a better human being. Living a better life starts with kindness, honesty, gratitude & generosity of spirit. These are the things in life that truly matter.
