i think it makes sense for a gender punished for not cooking to be frustrated when another is praised for doing the bare minimum. unfortunately, no matter how wholesome an event seems, it cannot escape critique for the social norms it subtly reinforces :(

Every time I come across such reels, it boils my blood to see outsiders monetize our culture and display it as an innovation to please the masses at the expense of our hardworking local artisans. This cultural appropriation needs to be called out, & we need to make sure we do it!
