My short short story

[5]In that precise moment, she understood that everything, absolutely everything, depended on her. And so, without weighing down and poisoning her heart any longer, she disappeared among the leaves she couldn't count.[end].

[4]People continued to pass by, asking questions, judging, but she no longer felt the weight of their words or their opinions. She stood up, dropping all the numbers and judgments she had collected like dry leaves to the ground, and began to walk lightly like a breath of wind[5].

[3]"Who?" Mrs. M asked without moving a muscle. "The one on your head!"."Ah, but it's not on my head. It's on his shadow," she replied. The boy frowned, confused, and ran away. Mrs. M smiled.[4].

[2]Mrs. M looked up at him and replied, "Because leaves don't understand numbers, and neither do I.".The passerby shook his head and walked away. A moment later, a crow landed on her head. "Doesn't that bother you?" asked a little boy, pointing to the black bird.[3].

I had forgotten what it meant to expose myself. I had even forgotten that I had a body. The weight of certain anomalies in it shifted my focus elsewhere. I had forgotten that I can still dream and desire, in my own way. This is a new adventure.
