Humans are messy. And I get dealing with machines is easier. But don't get so wrapped up in tech that you can't answer the question, "How do you feel?". In case you're wondering (watch the movie, it's fantastic), Spock at the end says, "I feel fine.". /fin.

We need to be cognizant of our humanity, as it separates us from, well, machines. IMO, automation allows us to do things faster. It does not allow us to do things "better". Soft skills help us not only do things better, but communicate our reasons/goals with others. 3/.

Too often we race to use the latest and greatest tech tools for work. We often forget the people behind the tech usage and the soft skills needed to communicate risk and needs. Social skills are just as important as tech skills. 2/.

Quick post. In "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home", Spock, just brought back to life, answers a series of complex questions dealing with science, tech, etc. He stumbles at the last question:."How do you feel?". This is important for my IT folks. 1/.
