35+ working days since Ombudsman Bangalore ruled in my favour. @HDFCERGO has not complied. No response despite follow-ups. If this continues, I’ll file an RTI to know why rulings aren’t enforced. What’s the point of Ombudsman if insurers ignore it?.

I’ve always wondered why Japan’s visa fee for Indians is ₹500 (or $6). It’s the same fee even when applying from abroad—whether it’s in India, the US, or Europe. All Japanese embassies across the world seem to mention this specifically for Indian applicants. 🇯🇵🇮🇳.

Since I rejected downgraded alternative, Lord Ombudsman shared written award in my favour and directed HDFC Ergo to reinstate my policy. The award is binding for HDFC Ergo and they get 30 days before it attracts provisions of the IRDAI on Protection of Policyholders' Interests.
