As I talk with church planters & planting leaders I'm more convinced that the church in U.S. will continue to decline in numbers & influence if we don't embrace a Bivo/Covo strategy (strategy not model) that involves rethinking vocation, mission, APEST & the nature of the church.

I've watched it a hundred times. A family starts attending a missional church and immediately loves it's simplicity, shared-life in community, and presence in the neighborhood. BUT they haven't dealt w/ their Consumerism yet. There's a detox process they need to undergo. 1/2
