Great work by all involved to interrupt the drug supply in Kawartha Lakes. Collaboration is so important in these type of investigations. These drugs are ruining lives every day. @klpsmedia is committed to taking these drugs off the streets and keeping our community safe.

Two tents were set on fire this morning in separate incidents. This type of behaviour is unacceptable and isn’t helping. Thankfully no lives were lost. Violence will not solve anything and will not be tolerated by KLPS. We need to work together to help all in our area @klpsmedia

Hearing news about a @TPSOperations officer being shot this afternoon. Police officers put themselves in harms way everyday to protect the communities they serve. Hoping for the best possible outcome for the officer and their family.

Another example of the community and the police working together. A citizen called about a b&e in progress. @klpsmedia officers arrived in under 2 minutes and arrested two men inside. Further investigation revealed they had broken into 4 other businesses on their crime spree.

Congratulations to Cadet Williston on his graduation from the @opcva today. Very proud of Liam as he was selected to be the parade Sgt Major. On a date that will be forever remembered for tragedy, it was great to celebrate this achievement with him.

Great work by our frontline officers yesterday! They arrested a man from Toronto who was already on bail for weapons and violent offences and wanted in Toronto for attempted murder from an incident earlier this year. Officers seized a large quantity of drugs and money from him.
