Sometimes posters can more than one story, as does this Lindsay Bullfight poster advertising for the event in 1958. Not only does it advertise the event, but it also displays what a mess it was to organize and prepare for as evidenced by the blue marking over the date.

Coming all the way from the Pym family in Australia is this little creamer pitcher by staff at the Pym’s Hotel, which was located at 84 Kent Street in Lindsay. The hotel was operated for only a short time during the early 1900s with brothers William and Charles Pym at the helm.

On Monday, May 1st, our museum had the pleasure to install a community exhibit in OLA at Queen's Park. Curated by Barbara Doyle, Managing Director and assisted by Zac Miller, Archivist, this exhibit highlights the history and transformation of our museum and archives!

Digitizing some of Al Capon’s (editor of The Lindsay Post) negatives, we came across a photograph that depicts a scene that we are all longing for: hot summer days swimming and relaxing by a pool! Opening on June 23, 1950, this photo was taken in 1967.

Photographs from a recent donation from a former employee at Sylvester Manufacturing Company in Lindsay, Ontario. The company was formed in 1876 and would close in 1972 after many ownership and name changes.
