Day 2️⃣: Final conference. Discussing two years of research into sanctions evasion schemes and kleptocratic networks, policy recommendations, and the way forward for smarter, more accountable investigations into transnational organised and financial crime.

Day 1️⃣: 5th training for authorities, with demonstration of our tool, available to EU bodies for investigating high-risk entities, tracing illicit assets and identifying sanctions evasion schemes. With room for discussion on data accessibility, data protection and compliance.

Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan: key hubs enabling this shadow trade. Sanctions increase cost and complexity of such operations, but are only as effective as their level of enforcement - and the tools supporting it. The KLEPTOTRACE tool is bridging this gap.

[VI] Transcrime @ #ASC2024 | #SanctionsEvasion: how to strengthen enforcement? With just weeks to go until the release of our report on sanctions evasion tactics - as part of the @kleptotrace project - we offered a glimpse of some of our findings at the ASC conference.

This training, led by @IrpiMedia, with contribution from @Context_ro, will provide civil society organisations and law enforcement agencies with tools and techniques to expose #kleptocracy and #sanctions circumvention.
