But, we will get there. The technology exists (you can start liking blockchain bros* and gals* 🙋‍♀️ again.) The builders in the space are steadfast in building systems that guarantee (provably, with math*) that data assets and IP are tied together.

The individual data ownership economy is budding; I think it is too early (open to being wrong here, but pretty sure I am not ;)) Most people don't care, or, don't know how to care, about their individual data IP.

And, not unlike artists who created the music, across all industries, we are the individual creators of those private data sets that AI is training on. In the future, we'll look back and balk at the idea of giving our data IP away for free.

AI training doesnt just happen on publicly accessible data (ie: songs, Internet data). It's happening behind closed doors on private data sets.

Expect a wave of interest (and litigation) to tie data to IP. AI has brought data as an asset into the spotlight, which is a win. It will be interesting to see how data assets + IP shake out for other industries, ie (my personal interest) healthcare.

What about the grey areas where the data IP is not provable, or the data IP does not have case law to support actual ownership? Related question: How are the artists, who created the data (music), benefitted from these suits?

This was expected - conglomerates suing AI companies for using their data. A key difference about these conglomerates (Record Labels) is they have provable IP over the data (music). https://t.co/LWOKgLrq63

It’s a beautiful day on Capitol Hill! We are excited to host Massachusetts-based founders as they share stories with their elected representatives about how they are driving innovation within their districts. It’s important that our legislators know why we #StandWithCrypto.

No one talking about Amazon slashing prices to get access to your most personal health data: Rx? those with >1 Rx you can easily reverse code the Dx/reason for Rx and creat a co-morbidity profile

Amazon is launching their version of Walmarts $4 generic drug program. Key difference is free delivery and must be a Prime member. Is this enough to capture meaningful market share?
