@Translink_NI What are options for commuters from #belfast living in those areas. Is this permanent. Notification is not good enough. Commuters should to be informed of alternatives not just abandoned. Many elected to live along train routes they can no longer rely on. #translink #downgrade

Update. For anyone who wants to delight in my @Translink_NI rant- 3hrs 20min commute to work compared to 1hr 15 min drive -may be the reason people don’t use public transport. SIGH
Thought I’d venture back on to the train to work (belfast to Coleraine) after the timetables have been updated. BUS REPLACEMENT SERVICE between Antrim and Coleraine. Breaks my heart. If I see one more @UlsterUni email about sustainable travel I will scream. Lol to the pic.

Last week it was “operational reasons”. This week so far it’s been “poor rail conditions” and a “train fault”. What are the guesses for the cancellations/delays for the rest of this week? Translink bingo!

And this is why I’m forced to take the car. Every day this week. The 7.42 from portadown is the one I’d usually take. Translink have managed to reduce connectivity and service, force more cars onto the road AND increase fares whilst doing so. Time for a re-think @deptinfra

Every morning and evening. And let’s not even start on this buses 😱 But remember everyone, John O’Dowd has claimed we will be “pleasantly surprised” if we use public transport! Surely he meant “at risk of increased blood pressure due to the stress”…
