Song collectors John Jacob Niles and Olive Dame Campbell, 1933. Campbell founded the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown and co-authored “English Folk-Songs from the Southern Appalachians” with Cecil J. Sharp. The two travelled and collected folksongs together from 1909.
