This week has been one for consideration of the worth of a human life - the viable but unborn baby, the vulnerable elderly even the value of an Iranian vs an Israeli vs a Palestinian life - I guess if an American gets killed in the Middle East that’s a Top Trumps card played.

Have I got this right - cos we care so much for the mother we will remove any criminal liability for killing a full term baby. And cos we care about someone’s right to die we will introduce legislation pursuant to which many who may not want to die may die. This is compassion?.
