Was it 6, 7? (don't you dare, Keir...) You kinda stop counting after 5, but at full-time it was a 7-0 loss to the Telegraph They famously say of talented stars, "But can you do it on a wet Friday night in Battersea?" The answer is: not in Christmas party and flu season

Show me a country that loves a work Christmas party more than the UK. You can’t. Ours are literally tax-deductible. Government endorsed. With a £150 target per head. That goes a long-way in a 'Spoons. Ultra sesh. https://t.co/pT0andoEb9

One interesting thing to note on the 3-year freeze in personal tax allowances: a 1p increase in all rates of income tax would have raised a similar amount while bringing in more from those at the very top of the distribution.
Thresholds freeze is progressive - but less so than a rates rise would have been It means higher revenue from National Insurance - therefore breaks letter of manifesto

💥 Govt says fuel duty to *go up* from next September. In the past the OBR has assumed that fuel duty would start to rise after a one-year freeze. This time, the govt has said explicitly that it will only be frozen for five months, and will start increasing it after that.
