"The rest of the world yearns to get back to normal. For black people, normal is the very thing from which we yearn to be free." Beautiful, haunting, and true in every way. Thank you @rgay "No One Is Coming to Save Us"

Eventually doctors will find a coronavirus vaccine, but black people will continue to wait for a cure for racism.

Make no mistake: This is the President of the United States threatening to kill Americans. It will only get worse, and he will only drift further toward authoritarian white nationalism as the election nears. He sees it as his path to âvictory.â Donât let him be right.

My heart goes out to every parent making tough choices during this crisis but Iâm genuinely struggling to understand why circumstances Dominic Cummings found himself in were exceptional, yet not the circumstances that saw 13yr old Ismail Mohamed Abdulwahab die alone in hospital

I have disagreed with many (probably all) governments in my lifetime. I have never been as ashamed as I am now that this is the state of our politics, and of the attitude of the Prime Minister to the rule of law.

Such an important message to share. #kinshipcare
@kimwh66 Our little guardian is petrified to go to back to school. I only have to sneeze and he scared in case I have the virus. As mentioned by other kinship carers we are older people and the young people depend on us. Stay safe everybody .

Kinship Carers anxiety about children's return to school.
Anxiety about childrenâs return to school is rising among many older kinship carers: âOur grandchildren donât have anyone else, so staying alive is a prime goal. But school is a massive part of childrenâs lives & respite for us.â There are no easy answers
