it makes me sad because so far the anime looks perfect, like it translates witch hat atelier to animation very well. its never going to look exactly like the manga but thats not the point.... its not meant to replace it.... you can always read the manga too....

the strength of illustration and other static art is that you can spend lots of time on the details but animation is not about that. the strength of animation is movement. you cannot animate individual hair strands when one second of animation is made up of like 20 drawings...

the witch hat atelier fandom is full of artists and the series itself is about art so its honestly very jarring for me to see people complain about the animation not being as detailed cause this is usually something you hear from dudebros who know nothing about art
