last day i wanted to buy a skunk design. i offered full price. did not know the artist already had a deal with someone else (art + money). it was promised & official. that person already started drawing their art part. when the artist saw my full money offer they 1/3.

and it always amazes me how people buy into this and give their money to support such lazyness. do they expect that artist to notice them and shake their hand? to become besties with them? because that wont happen.

i'd usually not be petty like this but theres a thin line and shit like this puts a bad rep on artists. just like these people that fling a bit of color on a white canvas and sell it for 7000 bucks because they're so eccentric and popular. you know what you do. don't pretend.

some popu artist legit messily drew a pair of plain white earpods with black dots for eyes (nothing more) and sold the adopt for 107 bucks. is this how you become a successful artist? by selling literal shit? ppl actually crave that? did we do it wrong all this time?
