i say this not in defense for bert but for people on this platform suffering/recovering from addiction including some of my friends on here that i know are seeing all this. spreading the notion that addicts can never become better people is extremely harmful

i think most of you commenting on the bert situation have never experienced or seen addiction firsthand. and i dont say that as an “oh addiction excuses his actions and you should consider that” way, i mean that alot of you are acting very oddly towards such a sensitive topic
