We live in a world where traditional & indigenous knowledge is considered inferior, a perception that is a result of violent #colonialhistories. Rural and tribal children are increasingly enrolled in schools with 'urban' curricula that don't impart knowledge of their ancestors.

How are village elders helping preserve disappearing indigenous knowledge? In #Sathyamangalam, we organised sessions where village elders sat with young children and spoke about traditional, organic practices in agriculture, importance of forest temples to encourage interest.
