The criticism "just a wrapper" is not about using an underlying tech. We all do and it's fine. Being a separate entity above the thing you're wrapping comes with the expectation of some level of added value that should be there, but isn't.

Remember, as you start making AI write more tests:. tests being green is not an sufficient proof of validity. It's easy to make a lot of passing tests, for the same reason it's easy to game metrics. More about Superficial Validity™ to come.

Most of these are integration specs. With the "slow" stack: RSpec, FactoryBot, Faker data, DatabaseCleaner, running with a few TestProf checks, super unoptimized. I'll start optmizing when the test suite is around 10 seconds.
