Tomo helps us evade the futility record for slowest #bm100 loop 2 split by just over a minute and has over 15 hours on a mostly daylight loop to get the Fun Run. I still like his chances!

5 miles per loop were added in 2006. 2021 had poor conditions and a night start. Not sure yet what the excuse is this year (apart from a sadistic race director).

Some #bm100 futility records... 2006 - No fun runs. 5 runners finished under the loop 2 cutoff with a top time of 24:34. 2021- 2 fun runs. 2 runners finished under the loop 2 cutoff at 24:32 apiece. Can we get there this year???

Despite speculation from some that course changes could have made CCW easier relative to CW, I have on good authority that the #bm100 really is uphill both ways.

22 hours on the clock and about 12:15 into loop 2. They’ll have to finish and get it turned around in the next little while if they want to keep this competitive, but realistically we’re pushing for Fun Runs now. #bm100

Smallest number of loop 1 finishers ever (or at least this century) - usually it’s at least twice that many. Despite good conditions on a mostly daylight loop. I’ll be fascinated to hear the reports! #bm100

As much as I do love the early nicknames, the downside to a ‘shock and awe’ year is that most will quit before we even know who they are! 💀 #bm100

On the bright side - if you’re going to fail, fail in the first 12 hours! That’s an extra two days you could be petting a #barkleycat on your lap and not flogging yourself #bm100
