11 man Wednesday night locals (pack per win)
R1 vs Glad Beast
G1: I full combo and he has to read all my cards
G2: He had 38 cards so I won (I hate to win this way xD)
at YCS Cancun, last round of day 1 I had a judge call over entering the BP & time discrepancy that lasted almost an hour.
they spoke in complete spanish for an hour
i legit gave up my side of the point
hour later they come back and they say OK AMIGO U WIN
Judges are Gs
one of the coolest things about the yugioh community is everyone comes from vastly different backgrounds
where do u see a nerdy asian kid who does math problems for fun and some hood dude from Chicago dap each other up
sometimes kids come into my locals and ask to duel, i find it hard to deny them so i just duel their dragon morphotropic deck and often time i have handtraps but i don't use them so they feel happy to resolve their combo
my fear is some kid is gonna tell his friends i was free
if u ever make a dumb deck decision like throwing in a random 1 of and people question u just say its for the siding pattern and u'll instantly look like a genius
As a player whos played through many years (2013-2023) of the game.
I honestly feel like this game is so hard now.
I genuinely don’t get bad players wishing the game was more skilled. You would never win.
I wish it was MORE luck based, I can’t compete with the DB grinders
No names but I know a guy who owns a yugioh team, however he's the only one in this team. He also runs a team page where he congratulates HIMSELF in 3rd person for topping local performances.
No hate, just asking if theres any YGO teams out there recruiting? my mans down bad
when i was shit at yugioh i would watch youtube videos, study other players, and listen to advice from those who were better than me
you know what i didnt do?
go on twitter and say bullshit while being a nobody and acting like im right with 0 credentials to back it up
People who complain about luck in yugioh have the biggest ego
like dam, you really think that's the thing holding you back? If only you were luckier you'd win every YCS huh? You'd beat everyone if you were just luckier right?
sometimes I feel like yugioh's price tag is a partial reason why the game is so toxic at high level
dude just spent over 1k on his deck and another 1k on flights & hotel u think he wont try to soft cheat you?
I hate when people with less accomplishments then me in yugioh give me their opinion
I have more tops than you that means everything you say is wrong and I am right, i wish more people would understand this
I don't talk to people without YCS tops
This has nothing to do with tops as there is just way too many weirdos / annoying/ talk too much wont stfu people
YCS tops is like a filter to check that if you can top one, you cant be THAT bad socially
whenever someone does something successful with a unique/rogue deck there's always these group of people who try to leech credit by saying they 'did it first'
this is so stupid and out of touch, just because X is good now does not mean it was good 5 months ago
sometimes when i don't know what a deck does i'll just pretend like i do by not reading anything in hopes they won't cheat me out of sheer confidence (i'm x-3)
U guys ever know how to beat a random match up because your locals won't stop playing it?
Mines Mikanko, never read these cards but some kid at my locals used to farm me with it so now I know what it does, what it wants to do, how to beat it, new support for it, nd even its lore
Canadians are the most honorable duelists
The standings from almost every single regional they have no 1 or 0 x-1-1 & some x-2s even get top 8
Go to any west coast regional and they be reading ash blossom on the bubble
Ken and gen are so broken guys
I'm going to go first every game draw Gen + Silva + Tactics because I can search all of them also Ash, Veiler, Imperm, Shifter is removed from the game too
I also cannot think of any other 3 card combo FTKs that work only going first haha
For the more competitive players,
U ever get told some theory by a player that's far more on the casual side and U know that even if U tried to correct them their brain just wouldn't be able to comprehend it because of the gap in your skill levels, so you just nod and agree?
i never get mad at my opponents drawing absolutely insane and here's why u shouldn't either
I Brick. A LOT. but every once in awhile i'll get blessed with a god hand just for my opponents to say how lucky i am
Bro, I just fought a war to finally catch a break leave me alone
Going back home from the WCQ, worst i’ve ever done at an event period.
Played kash and passed with no play 4 times in the span of 3 rounds.
Sad way to end it, maybe could’ve played something more consistent but YCS Cancun next!
i hate when a card gets popular in the meta and some noob goes "I BEEN PLAYING THIS FOR 9+ MONTHS NOW, I WAS AHEAD OF THE CURVE"
yes u played a tech card 9 months before it was good in a completely different meta when it was bad congrats
some people when doing deck profiles be trying to sound smarter than are by making up imaginary ratios
"i play 3 air lifter but i know some play 2, idk why ur just playing the deck wrong haha"
like no one plays 2 shut up
The replies on my post, "I dont talk 2 PPL w/o YCS tops" are so funny
To clarify, no i don't think this. My best friends don't have tops nor do i care
Was just a shit post to mock elitist but im aware not every1 knows me personally so it could look bad! 😂
NAWCQ is easier than a YCS
Increase in player count does not mean increase in player quality, the good players go to every event anyway, the WCQ actually helps in the way that it PREVENTS foreigners joining to make it MORE difficult
X-2-1 Tops
Higher chance to dodge pros
Talents is broken
everytime it gets used I hope they draw 2 instead of look at hand
Imagine hoping your opponent uses pot of greed because it’s at least not confiscation
I actually enjoy the duelist cup
I agree that it is borderline inhumane on how much it takes a toll on your body
but it is the only competitive outlet MD offers
Even in Master rank it feels like spawn camping noobs and as a competitive player I enjoy how hard the DC CUP is
fun fact at YCS vegas i played a total of 9 rounds and went 0-9 in die rolls, fast forward to the WCQ i played a total of 5 rounds and went 0-5
at extravaganza this weekend i decided to test letting my opponents roll my dice and i went 5-2
im going to start doing this IRL!
@KottonJesse
Yeah i was just saying how, because of the dc events, this has been the first time outside of worlds that both terrotories actually are competing vs each other in a competitive event
me booking every YCS after complaining about how theres too many decks, entry fee is too high, prize support is bad, and world's grind being a shit system
There's a world where Jesse Kotton is watching your deck profiles
There's a world where no one in the room wants to run into you in swiss
You have the potential, it just needs to be awoken

@GuuGaming
watched a couple episodes while doing the dc cup grind & it was really informative & entertaining, the guys definitely know what they're talking about
check it out!
I'm so out of touch with card's being out of budget for some players sometimes
Don't remember the last time I contemplated the price of a certain card I needed, I'm tryna top, aint no pay wall stopping me
Congrats to the remote YCS winner! I’ve always wanted to play 2 shifter but haters called me crazy! Once you use one you never want to see the other! 🔥🔥🔥 Genius deck building by him truly deserved
one of my favourite things about yugioh is 2 good players can come to 2 different solutions and no one is right or wrong
it gets ruined by certain people who live by 'if u no agree my opinion then u r bad'
Yu-Gi-Oh Hot Take:
I don’t see anything wrong with getting coaching (paid or free) if you are of competitive nature & want to actively get better. Learning from the greats of the game is a privilege & also who are we to determine how someone spends their own damn time &/or money?
I support all transgender people in the yugioh community, it is awful what I have read in the past days. Let people decide who they want to be, it does not concern you.
Like and retweet if you agree
Why are the people who laugh react under metafy posts (by anyone) are the x-3s by round 5 people
The worse someone is the bigger the ego
They'll tag their friends and act all sarcastic in the comments and try to be funny with 1 regional top in Kansas. bro u literally need this
