Product was from China, shipping time + tarrifs killed the cashflow but if it was from U.S. we could have made it work even with low margin. I see tons of ppl on twitter talking about scaling at 1x roas on subs products. These people are retarded and likely selling courses.

Realizing now, we could have kept scaling, ate the cashflow loss and made it up on the backend with subscription revenue, just sat in cruise control and collected cash, maybe exited. Or built a slower, organic acquisition & sat on subscription revenue mixed with fb ads.

Profitable under 1k ad spend, but failed to forecast increased CAC into scaling. No amount of creative would work with low margin. We built our subs up to 30k mrr, the product is pretty sticky and many months later we're still at 25k with only gross + ope's costs (minimal).
