got bored decided to try making a viewport friendly ocean shader inside maya. Foam is a bit random and is lacking depth. But is looking interesting. Hopefully i can figure out a way to fake the depth #maya3d #shading #lookdev #materialart

its mind blowing that there is no easy way to split a geometry into separate objects inside Houdini, I have search for hours. All i see is blast or split node. Is there really no way to do this with few nodes? In Maya I can just click separate and it will split all connected.

getting back into unreal. Updating my cactus using RGB masks to drive the tileables to get good resolution even up close. Also added Triplanar and displacement. Next up I want to see if i will be able to scatter the needles with PCG #UnrealEngine5 #gamedevelopment #maya3d
