Hey, would you like to tell me the sites/methods you used to get that remote USD paying job? I'm not even asking you to help me with anything extra. Just that🙏🙏
Today I had an interview for a backend role. I met all the requirements and the recruiter was very ready to introduce me to the CTO and CEO for the company fit check
After a little chat, he asked if I was around the GCC. Sigh. That's how I lost the opportunity 🥲
Time to leave Ke
I got into tech without knowing anyone. Some big names were mentioned to me, but I had no idea who they were.
Navigating these streets with no one to learn from was hectic, not knowing where to go to get something, but eventually figuring it out >>>
Lessons from tech twitter 2023:
1. Apply to all jobs
2. Seek out mentors
3. Confidence kama ya ule data scientist GDE
4. Usiende delmonte, a man might be waiting for you
5. Kama wewe si Mwendwa ama Stan usiweke ngl link, utajiongelesha
Having a female best friend?
Well mine got mad at me for not wishing her a happy birthday.
Got a tongue lashing over the phone coz I broke her heart and whatnot.
😂It was so funny to me.
Gonna make it up to her. And I've been told to go out of my way for it to matter😂I accept
Here's the video.

Private github repo, and talk in there.
Every time you have an argument with her and your non-dev lover asks why you are in a low mood, tell them it's coz your code isn't running. You could even show them the code, they wouldn't understand it.
Tech Twitter is so big. I see new accounts every other day. Then I go through the profiles and wonder where have you all been hiding? I follow immediately
If you're a newbie, don't apply to established companies; the rejections will be consistent. Apply to little-known companies. Chances are higher there. You can then circle back to the multinationals.
when i turn 7 years in tech, my dreadlocks zitakuwa 7 years as well.
German kwa garage, snr tech title, probably a bootcamp babe to show new cities to, mungu baba, ootd in Bangalore, sijui wapi kwingine, beautiful scenes

Millennials saying "Gen Z can't relate" always bambas me coz when Redsan, Amani, Cannibal, Ray C, Sanaa were singing when you were 15-25 we were also listening to the same songs. We also used tubidy n waptrick, listened to Maina n Kingangi in the morning etc
In a meeting with our CTO. And this man will learn a new language and deploy a live system in 2 weeks.

Bado ntarudi uko mpaka niconfirm wako ivo cha ukwelo
Kenyan Tech Twitter is quite left behind in terms of open-source contributions to international organizations.
The Indian tech scene is filled with a lot of information on how to contribute and benefit from the same.
I believe it's time we beat them.

Of course you don't remember. Even with 68,023 kwa mpesa, the last meal you had was 24hrs ago.
You ever be typing a tweet, then you draw a couple of paragraphs, but then you finaly decide no. This is a little bit too much, nobody even asked me. Then you delete it all and forget about it?
'If I had judged my potential with my starting ability, I would have quit.' As a newbie in tech, keep iterating. Something will give. And it will be better than what you could have imagined.
I honestly need a mentor. I have all the relevant skills, curiosity, drive, time and humility to learn.
If you're a man out there with information on how to do tech - programming and to excel at it, I will soak in all the information.
I crave mastery.
Tech company logic for leetcode - if you are dedicated enough to learn DSA and ace leetcode problems, you are teachable and can take up any internal tools or otherwise needed to deliver projects

Picture the worst that can happen, then prepare for it, physically, healthwise, mentally, financially etc, but walk through every waking moment, hoping that it doesn't happen today.
In the next election I vow to myself to be an invitee of the State House inauguration luncheon. Pulling up with a fat bank account, clean suit, heavy but sleek machine, and a peng babe.

Something I love about the Kenyan tech community in here is, the new faces we get to see. The conversations they spark, their enthusiasm, and formation of their friend groups.
Hey
@ICTAuthorityKE
, you said you have a couple of courses you want to give out to the youth for them to upskill, but some people don't know this yet, sadly.
Should I share the list tomorrow? What the heck? Of course. If anyone knows of any others, that'd be great >>>
God manifests himself in your life through other people. I don't know the number of times I've gotten suggestions on what I can do to get better or help others from people, I've known here without even meeting some. They keep holding my hand, and I really appreciate that 🙏 💯

Use a residential proxy/vpn to apply.
If anyone has any other tips, it would be good.
The A in EMEA might be Asia-Pacific?
