At our wedding, my husband put a small bit of frosting on my nose and kissed it off. It was very sweet and one of my favorite memories from that day.
I’d be getting that marriage annulled. What kind of man humiliates his wife on their wedding day, and then forces her to high-five him afterwards?.

I just had the best sleep of my life in over two years. Seven hours of continuous sleep, without coughing, holding a baby, or letting the dog out. It. Was. Glorious.

Husband: Omg have you seen our son’s rash?! . [spins him around to me, his mouth all red]. Me: I… I think it’s strawberry?. Husband: He’s not allergic to strawberries, is he?. Me: No…. I mean, I think it’s pieces of strawberry. [wipes his face, all redness gone]. 😅😅😅.

I’m still traumatized 😭.
You know what's wild? Everyone says you'll forget giving birth and the early difficulties of a baby. and it's true????. I just read *my own blog post* about what my c-section was like and am horrified because I literally remember maybe 5-10% of it. Our bodies are ridic.

Chasing after and carrying this squirmy little ball of energy is honestly the best exercise routine. Got a good blend of cardio, resistance training, and weight lifting. 💪😅🫠.

I think the most surprising part of parenthood is your willingness to do whatever it takes to make sure your baby thrives and you don’t even question it. All my previous doubts and “do I have to” thoughts went away instantly the moment my son was born.

I’m going through a tough personal time right now. Caring for aging parents while navigating parenthood is hard.

I went to the gym for the first time in… a while. Gave myself permission to take it easy and it was really nice. Trying to shed some postpartum pounds but it’s about being more active and making healthy choices. Thankful for a good night’s sleep and an amazing partner.

I proposed a way to support a new feature for a component, got an approval for my approach, and built out a proof of concept all within an hour. Today was a good day. Discussing component API’s is by far my favorite thing about working on design systems.
