So great performing w/ warm/funny @RabiahComedy at Chris O' Neill's Tinder Tales at #edfringe. Also at Fringe I was mistaken for an accountant & Diva called me their "trusty" correspondent, so I'm pretty sure my mom would have been equally pleased w/ my August escapades.

So #EdFringe2023 performers (#FillYerBoots) tell me about the non-tangible gifts of performing/bringing your show. I'll start: two afternoons ago, a mom/daughter dyad left having conversations about end of life care. Daughter said "I can never get her to talk about this."

Thanks so so much to MSP Mackay and @FriendsAtTheEnd for making this lovely conversation happen. It's amazing the connections when we talk about death & end of life wishes. It's one of the kindest things you can do for someone you love, even (or perhaps especially) if it's hard.

Celebrate #fatbottomedgirls- check out the work of burlesque diva Heather MacAllister, (middle in this image), whose troupe was photographed by @TheRealNimoy for the Full Body Project. My show in #edfringe23 shares much of her glorious life...and death. And community.
I did not know that Leonard Nimoy made a photography book of fat women called The Full Body Project and it looks GLORIOUS. He clearly photographed them with love and respect, what a king. (H/t to one of my fave Insta accounts @/historicalfatpeople)

It's true that there is a higher level math references at the near end of my show. A higher level math reference that my girlfriend fact-checked and I had to update. Also I do mention Venn diagrams, but only once. PS I don't think accountants use Venn diagrams. Just #nerdcomedy

I've been wearing button up long sleeved shirts because Edinburgh doesn't believe in summer. So one of the emcees at a cabaret show saw my oxford shirt and said "here's Kelli, doing jokes about accountancy" In Brookyn, I'm a weirdo. At #edfringe I'm an accountant.

I'm reposting because my audience has been a lot of teenagers at #edfringe this month and I'm very grateful for their collective hilarious outlook.
At work I mentioned my upcoming knee replacement surgery. A 9th grader overheard and replied “what are you having it replaced with? A puppy? That’d be cute.” Chef’s kiss to his timing. Every comedy club should try a 14 year old’s running commentary to adults as a headliner.
