Always an amazing time had at SciFest with the 2025 event no exception! Blown away by the creativity, curiosity, and confidence of the students with their respective projects that were on display at @DCU. The future is in great hands!

Still reflecting on a busy but rewarding week at #EOES 2025. Huge congrats to both Irish teams on their bronze wins - well deserved! The real prize, though, was the experiences had. Huge thanks to the organisers for their hard work and the excellent programme they delivered.

A great closing ceremony for the 24/25 DCU Mentorship Programme this evening. Once again, being involved in this programme proved incredibly rewarding, and it was a pleasure to have worked with my mentees over the course of the year. Looking forward to the 25/26 launch already.

It was a great two days of science for the recent Round 3 of #IrEOES. Great enthusiasm from all of the students returning from Round 2 who had the opportunity to perform multiple experiments with our staff in the labs of @DCUFSH (1/2)

10 years+ since we shared this building as PhD students! Great to catch up with Prof. Pavle Mocilac and hear about his research in @iLZU1909 on radiation therapy in the series of talks he delivered this week at @DCU.

Team Ireland had a fantastic time at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) in Bucharest these past few days. Truly inspired by the talent of the next generation of scientists. Huge thanks to the organisers for an incredibly memorable event.

The students and their parents were also treated to a talk by Dr. Jennifer Gaughran of @DCUPhysics who gave them an insight into the @grain_lab project and the interdisciplinary collaborative research she works on to address the issue of plastic waste in the world today (2/5)

An enjoyable opening ceremony for the @DCUAlumni Career Mentoring Programme 24/25 yesterday. It was great to hear the stories of previous mentors/mentees of the initiative, and I am looking forward to playing a part in this year’s programme.

Also, thrilled for BSc. Health and Society final year student Kyla McGowan who made the Dean’s Honors List this year. A great endorsement of the level of hard work and commitment put in.
