P1 Room 7 have been learning about the 5 senses. Today we have focussed on touch and been learning about different words to describe what we touch by making our own touch boards. @SchoolBroomhill

This week we have been learning the ‘I’ sound. We have been filling in our big book with pictures of words with the I sound in them. @SchoolBroomhill

P1 have been learning to play the glockenspiel . We have been learning to play twinkle twinkle little star. @SchoolBroomhill

P1 Room 7 have been working with p6 to make their layers of the rainforest pictures. @schoolbroomhill

P1 room 7 have been planting sunflowers this afternoon. We are exited to track their progress over the next few weeks as they grow. @schoolbroomhill

Primary 1 read one of mr Hewitt’s favourite books today “Jampires”. Once we read the book we looked at the descriptions in the story and drew our own pictures of Jampire land. @schoolbroomhill

P1 Room 7 were working again today with primary 6. Today primary 1 shared and read our reading books to the primary 6 class and we also shared with them our reflective read and got them to judge our pictures of Jampire land. @schoolbroomhill

P1 room 7 had a a visitor to class. One of our parents came into class to teach the children all about Ramadan. This was a brilliant experience and we learned lots about Ramadan and how it’s celebrated. We also made lanterns and got a special surprise. @schoolbroomill

P1 Room 7 had a fun time making still images and using facial expression to recreate the story of “ The musicians of Bremen”. @schoolbroomhill

P1 are doing some printing for an art project this afternoon. @schoolbroomhill

P1 Room 7 have been practising our phonics this morning at different stations. We’ve been practising identifying the sounds and reading and writing cvs words. @schoolbroomhill

This afternoon we were selling cows for beans, climbing beanstalks and hiding from giants as part of drama. @schoolbroomhill

This morning we read the story “Families, families, families.” As part of our diversity topic. We talked about how everyone’s family is different and special. We then drew our own family trees and shared with each other who is in our family. @schoolbroomhill

P1 Room 7 have been discovering all about the 5 senses this afternoon at our senses stations. @schoolbroomhill

P1 Room 7 enjoyed their rugby session with Miss McGregor. They enjoyed getting use the rugby balls and work as a team. @schoolbroomhill
