ICYMI: @kcstreetcar will temporarily suspend service Sept. 8–14 for essential downtown route maintenance. During this outage, the Riverfront Ext. team will install and connect Overhead Catenary System (OCS) wires, work that can only be done while service is paused.
🚨RIDER ALERT.9/8-9/14, #kcstreetcar service will be temporarily suspended due to maintenance activities that are needed prior to the Main Street Extension opening. Bus service will be deployed & operate with regular streetcar hours and levels of service.

Traffic Alert! 🚧 . The crews completing utility maintenance on Grand Blvd, north of 3rd St, will temporarily reopen the roadway for the holiday weekend. It will reopen by the end of the day today. The roadway will close again the morning of Tues., 9/2, to complete the work.

ICYMI: Grand Boulevard is closed to northbound traffic, north of 3rd St. Northbound vehicles should use 3rd St., Walnut St., and 2nd St. to navigate around the closure. This work is not related to the KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension. Please navigate safely through this area.

Traffic Alert: Utility Maintenance at 3rd & Grand . The intersection is closed for utility work NOT related to the Riverfront Extension Project. Work is expected to last 2-3 weeks, weather permitting. Follow the marked detours & drive safely.

The sidewalk on the west side of Grand Blvd. (from 3rd St. to Chinatown Food Market) is in place & it’s looking great! 🙌. Next week, @kcstreetcar Riverfront Extension crews will be back to pour the remaining concrete & put the finishing touches on this fresh new path.
