A6: Ss create an online math portfolio with videos created by them. Mindset Mondays where we we reflect on growth mindset. Blog to journal and reflect on Math. I will also make sure Classroom Job and and collaborative responsibilities are a part of my classroom. #d109pirates.

A5: Students take ownership of their learning in “Pirate” learning. #d109pirates.

A4: I have considered adding passion time during our CAS (Content Area Support) class. I’m not sure how I could fit it into my Math class. #d109pirates.

A3: I will give the students choice in how to show their skills. I will also allow students to give other students feedback so that they know their voice is being heard. #d109pirates.

A2: Give them time to do self-reflections and reflections for their peers. Make sure that there is significant positive feedback on the growth that students have made from one version to the next. #d109pirates.

A1: I want my students to make the strongest gains in Critical Thinking and Problem Solving. That’s pretty much what math is about. I hope that through learning the problem solving they also work on their communication and collaboration skills. #d109pirates.
