At campgrounds, packs of children roam around on their bikes, while people driving cars were patient and slow. Why can't our kids have this freedom in our urban neighborhoods? Traffic calming was necessary at the campsite entrance, but a bubble installation was very effective.

@cambbikesafety @MarkBoswell16 @1Keytarbear joining #bikebus was a huge highlight for me. The way the kids mobbed Keytar Bear to autograph their helmets, I have no words. I foresee more bike parades in KB's future.

Through @cambbikesafety, @MarkBoswell16 and I hosted a "how to start a bike bus" webinar for people in the Boston area. At least two more #bikebus-es have started in Cambridge, and more in Boston, Lexington, Melrose, Belmont. Not taking credit, but it's catching on like wildfire.

Then, the HONK #bikebus has completely opened the flood gates for including live music on our rides. Worried about angry neighbors, we flyered the neighborhood warning about trombones and snare drums, but instead they all came out to their porches and waved. @bikepedantic

Biking down Cambridge St. today, I’m frustrated by how easily we could accommodate parking and still provide a safe bike lane and pedestrian crosswalk. Delaying bike lanes as some on City Council want helps no one and hurts everyone. Let’s push for safer streets! @cambbikesafety

Today~130 people joined the Peabody/RAUC #bikebus celebrated #NationalBikeToSchoolDay with our very own marching band by bike, courtesy of members of the School of HONK. Only the @bikepedantic mastermind could conceive and pull this off. Best Bike Bus ever.
