As we are wrapping up, The Circulatory Story, students worked together to create a “Graffiti Wall” of main idea and figurative language. They wrote about the main idea and how the figurative language helps readers understand what the book is teaching you!

As we are learning about our literal hearts and what our body does behind the scenes, we added a little science into it to examine our bones and structures. Always a fun experiment with @MysterySci !

We did our tableau today in Wit and Wisdom with our Circulatory Story book. Students acted out the different roles of what our body does when our heart beats- This includes our blood vessels, red blood cells, body cells, platelet, germs, and white blood cells! 🫀#owatonnaproud

It’s electric! ⚡️ Today we learned how electricity creates magnetism by creating a circuit connected to a steel rivet. With some teamwork, lots of productive troubleshooting, and patience they created their own “junkyard” magnets with a D-Cell battery! #OwatonnaProud

Today was all about magnetism and understanding the properties of a magnet. 4th graders made predictions of materials that would stick to a magnet, then tested it out! 🧲

Learning all about circuits today in science by creating closed circuits to power on a small incandescent bulb. Students made predictions on what connections they thought would/would not work, then tested it out. The smiles once the bulb lit up was the best! 💡 #Owatonnaproud
